Being an ambassador involves three things: commissioning for a special assignment, representing the sender, and exercising the sender's authority. As believers of Christ, we are representatives of heaven, and our commission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the lost world through the power and wisdom of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each of us has a unique ministry assignment from God. It's essential to our sense of fulfillment that we know exactly where we are. The key is to identify the roles we play that cannot be replaced and then decide to be who God wants us to be in those roles. Accepting and occupying God's unique place for us to the best of our abilities will bring us the most fulfillment. Unfortunately, so many of us seek temporary fulfillment in the world rather than eternal fulfillment in God's kingdom. We are Christ's chosen ambassadors, through whom God extends a unique offer of reconciliation to Himself. Don’t take that responsibility lightly. Take action today to be an ambassador for Christ! There will be a massive celebration in heaven when a lost child is found.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for entrusting me to be an ambassador of Your kingdom. Help me to proclaim the gospel of reconciliation bravely, and give me strength to encourage people to seek reconciliation with You. I feel content when I act in a way that pleases You and when my heart is in alignment with Yours. Shine Your light on me today so that others can see You through me. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
