10 mins a day, closer to God.
Even in the face of dangerous circumstances, David places his faith in God's will. His request in this verse is to be guided by the Lord due to the fact that he is being threatened by evil men. As wicked men waited for David to be killed, he needed to follow the guidance of the Lord in order to remain safe and to persevere in righteousness. Throughout David's life, he trusted the Lord his God and believed everything He had promised in His Word. In the midst of difficulties and dangers, we always find David praying to the Lord. As David discovered, a man can become lonely when sin persists and grows in the heart. Furthermore, he also experienced the freedom and joy of being able to confess and accept forgiveness for his sins. It is impossible for anyone to escape the trials, tribulations, and temptations of life, nor can anyone escape the disappointments, discouragement, and dangers they may encounter. In spite of this, each of us has the option of becoming a believer after God's own heart. This is done by trusting Him in every situation, by beginning each day with praise and prayer, and by participating in ongoing fellowship with our Father in heaven.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your incredible promises. The safe covering of Your wings is the most comforting thing in the world. Righteous people will be blessed with a shield of protection from the evil one. I will follow Your righteous ways since I have many enemies and some who intend to harm me. Please direct Your path before my face, and may Your will take precedence over mine, to Your benefit and glory. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

1 Corinthians 4:21
What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
Titus 2:12
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
