10 mins a day, closer to God.
Often, we do not allow people to get to know us fully because we are afraid they might discover something about us that they will not like or use against us. But God knows everything about us, even the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30). As God’s creation, we are never out of His sight! As we go about our daily lives, He protects, loves, and guides us every step of the way, knowing and loving us completely. David uses the word "searched" to perceive that God has dug deeply into his heart, where He uncovered all his sinful thoughts and exposed them. It is equally relevant for us today. We may be able to lie to others about our sins, even to ourselves, but nothing can be hidden from God, for He knows everything about us - past, present, and future. God is all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present. God knows you intimately, and God is with you. Expose your heart completely to the Lord today and ask for his guidance and discipline. He knows everything that you need, and He will provide!
Dear Heavenly Father, I surrender my heart and mind to you. You know my worries and fears, my anxious thoughts and daily problems. I believe You are in control, and I ask that You reveal Your plan to me so that I may carry out Your will. Search my heart, Lord, and test me. Look into my heart to see if I have a path of offense, and guide me to a path of eternal life. There is nothing beyond Your power, Lord, and I thank You for being a God who cares so much for everyone. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
1 Corinthians 2:10
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Psalm 119:66
Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
Proverbs 10:30
The righteous will never be uprooted, but the wicked will not remain in the land.
John 2:24
But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
