One of the most marvelous and powerful statements in Scripture about the gospel is found in this verse: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." There is no better news than this! To condemn is to declare a person wrong, unfit to use, and should be punished. As humans, we are all sinners. Our greatest need is to be delivered from the wrath and condemnation of our Creator. It is God's grace, however, that Christ has forever fulfilled this need for us all. There will be times when we fall short as we strive to obey God and walk in the Spirit. It's at those moments that we need to remember there's no condemnation to us if we truly trust in Christ, who has paid the full price of our sins at Calvary. In Christ, we are secure despite our failures and sins. In Christ, we are free to live our lives zealously for God's purpose. In Christ, we are no longer controlled by our sinful flesh but powered by the Holy Spirit!
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus. Thanks for forgiving my sins and releasing me from condemnation through Christ. You're such a merciful God and forgiving Father. Please be with me at all times so that I don't fall back into my sins. Help me live a life worthy of no condemnation and be an example for others. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
1 Corinthians 7:22
For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
1 Peter 2:16
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Psalms 119:45
I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
