When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things. This verse captures the journey of growth, both physically and spiritually. It is a reminder that as children, we naturally have a limited understanding, and our thoughts and actions are shaped by immaturity. However, as we grow and mature, both in age and in wisdom, we are called to leave behind the childish ways of thinking and living. Maturity is not just about physical growth; it is about the development of understanding, discernment, and wisdom. This process of transformation requires intentionality and a willingness to change. As we mature in our faith, we begin to think differently, seeing the world through the lens of God’s truth, rather than through the immaturity of self-centered desires. Spiritual maturity involves putting aside the selfish tendencies of our youth and embracing the wisdom, grace, and love of God. As we grow, we are called to reflect the character of Christ in our actions and decisions.

Malachi 4:6
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Deuteronomy 6:6
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:.
Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
