Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you. This verse from Deuteronomy speaks to the fearlessness that comes when we know God is fighting on our behalf. As we reflect on the past year, we can be reminded of the battles God has fought for us—whether they were physical, emotional, or spiritual struggles. Our birthdays are a time to celebrate not just our own strength but the strength of God working in and through us. We don’t face the challenges of life alone—God is with us, fighting on our behalf. His protection, provision, and strength are always available to us. As we step into a new year, we do so with confidence, knowing that the Lord is always fighting for us. Our fears are diminished when we recognize that the Creator of the universe is standing with us, waging the battle on our behalf. On this birthday, we thank God for His faithfulness, His unwavering protection, and His continual presence in our lives. No enemy can stand against Him, and therefore, we need not fear.
