Purity is essential for the believer, and it extends to every area of life. The apostle Paul urges believers not to let fornication, uncleanness, or covetousness be named among them. As saints, we are called to live a life that is above reproach, reflecting the purity of God. To live in holiness means to avoid anything that contaminates the heart or defiles the body. The pursuit of holiness requires intentionality and diligence, as we are constantly faced with temptations that seek to draw us away from God. However, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can resist these temptations and live according to God’s will. The call to purity is not just about avoiding sin; it is about living in a way that honors God and reflects His holiness. When we live in purity, we not only experience the joy of fellowship with God but also become a witness to the world of His transformative power.

1 Thessalonians 4:3
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;
1 Corinthians 10:8
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
