The scorching heat of the sun is often likened to the trials and challenges that believers face in life. Just as the sun causes plants to wither, life's difficulties can test our endurance and strength. However, trials are not meant to destroy us but to refine us. They bring forth perseverance and spiritual maturity. This verse serves as a warning that when we face difficulties, we must not let them cause us to lose heart or faith. Rather, we should remain rooted in Christ, allowing our faith to be refined and strengthened, just as plants need deep roots to survive extreme conditions. While the trials may feel intense, they are part of God's process of transforming us into the image of His Son. It is through these challenging times that we are made strong, and the fruit of perseverance is produced in our lives.

Isaiah 60:19
The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Matthew 5:45
He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Joshua 10:13
The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.
