Inspiration
Jesus prepares His disciples for the inevitable persecution they will face because of their faith in Him. He warns that they will be handed over to be persecuted and even put to death, but He does not leave them without hope. Though suffering and death may seem like the end, it is not the final word for those who follow Christ. The call to endure persecution and suffering is not an easy one, but Jesus assures His followers that they are not alone. His presence will sustain them through every trial. This verse speaks to the resilience of the Christian faith, where suffering for the sake of Christ becomes a witness to the world of the power of God’s grace. It calls us to prepare ourselves mentally and spiritually to face trials, not with fear, but with unwavering trust in God’s purpose and a determination to remain faithful to the end.
