Proverbs 15:32 reminds us of the importance of listening to wisdom: "He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding." Rejection of wisdom is a rejection of life itself, as it leads to ignorance and destruction. Those who are willing to listen to instruction, who are open to correction, are the ones who gain understanding. True wisdom comes from humility—the willingness to learn and grow. When we allow ourselves to be taught by God’s Word and by those He places in our lives to guide us, we become more aligned with His will and purpose.
