10 mins a day, closer to God.
A person who engages in deceit and lies has no place in God’s house. Deceit is an abomination to God because it undermines His nature, which is truth. Those who habitually lie and spread falsehood will find themselves separated from the fellowship of believers. God desires His people to walk in integrity, and He commands us to speak truth to one another. In a world filled with deception, the Church is called to stand as a beacon of truth and honesty. As believers, we are expected to reflect God’s character in our interactions with others. This means that we must be truthful in all things and avoid dishonesty, as it grieves the heart of God. Let us strive to be people of integrity, honoring God by living lives marked by honesty and truth.
Proverbs 6:16
These six things doth the Lord hate yea, seven are an abomination unto him A proud look, a lying tongue.
Psalm 31:18
Let the lying lips be put to silence which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
Psalm 120:2
Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue.
Proverbs 19:9
A false witness shall not be unpunished and he that speaketh lies shall perish.
