And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:16 reveals the majestic and all-powerful title of Christ as the King of kings and Lord of lords. This title reflects Christ’s absolute sovereignty over all creation. As the King of kings, He is the supreme ruler, greater than any earthly king or ruler. As the Lord of lords, He is the ultimate authority, superior to all other authorities. This verse portrays Christ as the triumphant conqueror who will return to establish His eternal reign. His victory is certain, and His rule will be marked by His power and glory. For believers, this verse serves as a reminder of the exalted position of Christ and the eternal nature of His rule. As we await His return, we are called to submit to His authority and live in anticipation of the fulfillment of His kingdom. The title “King of kings, and Lord of lords” challenges us to recognize Christ as the ultimate ruler in our lives, allowing His authority to shape the way we live and interact with the world around us.
